1. Acceptance Of Terms
By accessing or using the Paw & Pestle platform (“Platform”), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”).
If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Platform.
These Terms apply to all users, including veterinarians, veterinary practices, pet owners, and any other individuals or entities accessing the Platform.
2. Definitions
Platform means the Paw & Pestle online prescription and supplement management system.
Veterinarian means a licensed veterinary professional authorized to practice in their jurisdiction
Practice means a veterinary clinic, hospital, or professional entity using the Platform
Pet Owner means the owner or authorized caretaker of an animal patient
VCPR means a valid Veterinarian-Client-Patient Relationship as defined by applicable law
Prescription means a written order for medication issued by a licensed veterinarian
Supplements means non-prescription nutritional products for animal health
3. Platform Services
3.1 Prescription Management
The Platform facilitates prescription management between veterinarians and pet owners.
We do not practice veterinary medicine, prescribe medications, or provide veterinary advice.
3.2 Suplement Sales
The Platform enables the sale of veterinary supplements through authorized distributors and manufacturers.
Revenue sharing arrangements with veterinarians are governed by separate agreements.
3.3 Appointment Remainders and Health Management
The Platform provides automated reminders and health tracking tools to support ongoing veterinary care relationships.
4. User Eligibility and Registration
4.1 Veterinarian Requirements
To register as a veterinary professional, you must:
Hold a valid veterinary license in your jurisdiction
Maintain professional liability insurance
Comply with all applicable veterinary practice regulations
Provide accurate license information and keep it current
4.2 Pet Owner Requirements
Pet owners must:
Be at least 18 years of age or have parental consent
Provide accurate contact and pet information
Maintain an established VCPR with a participating veterinarian for prescription services
4.3 Account Security
Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials and for all activities under their account.
5. Veterinarian-Client-Patient Relationship (VCPR)
5.1 VCPR Requirement
All prescription services require a valid VCPR as defined by applicable state and federal law.
The Platform does not establish or replace the VCPR.
5.2 Veterinarian Responsabilities
Veterinarians using the Platform must:
Ensure a valid VCPR exists before issuing any prescription
Comply with all applicable laws regarding prescription drugs
Maintain appropriate medical records
Take responsibility for all prescriptions issued through the Platform
5.3 Limitations
The Platform cannot be used for:
Telemedicine consultations without proper licensing
Prescribing controlled substances where prohibited by law
Establishing new veterinary relationships without appropriate examination
